Welcome students and parents to our "Walk Through the Holocaust" website and lesson guide. I am really
excited to get this project started as I am sure most of you are too! The Jewish Holocaust was a very important part of our
world history and this project will give you the opportunity to learn more about this time period along with your parents.
There is so much fun stuff to learn about and explore so I am sure you will enjoy your experience with this project. Your
assignment will be to create your own small website using the Flash Media Player that will hopefully be used for helping future
students. You will be working with a partner which should help in case any of you have questions or are having trouble using
Flash you can help one another. Otherwise, you can always ask me in class to help you or send me an email, which you can find
on my "About Me" page.
Your grade will be based on multiple quizzes that will be given out during the
lesson, your finished website, and your ability to work and cooperate with your partner. Some of the quizzes will be based
on the material on the Holocaust that I explain in class. These will not be very difficult, mainly focused on the large topics
of discussion we cover in class. If you listen and take notes, you will do fine! Other quizzes will be given to judge your
ability for using Flash. Again, they will not be tough, but I want to make sure you guys have a good idea of how to use Flash
before you jump into making your own websites.
Parents, I hope you can use this website as a tool to follow your child's progress as they begin to understand the Holocaust.
This website will be a guide for you to check on assignments that are due, find helpful links that may guide you in better
tutoring your kids, and you may even learn a little bit yourself about the Holocaust. Don't be shy about asking me questions
or explaining any concerns you may have. You can reach me by email or by phone which you can find my information in the "About
Me" link.
